Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TrustMyRevenue. They are deliberately readable — the same honesty we enforce in the product applies to the document that governs it.

In plain terms

The summary above is a courtesy; the sections below are the agreement.

§1Agreement to these terms

TrustMyRevenue (the “service”) is operated by Omnymous, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By using trustmyrevenue.com — browsing it, creating an account, or connecting a store — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Questions about these terms go to info@trustmyrevenue.com.

§2What TrustMyRevenue is

TrustMyRevenue publishes verified revenuefor ecommerce stores. A store owner connects their Shopify store with read-only access; we compute a trailing-30-day figure from Shopify’s own data and display it on a public profile, a leaderboard, and an embeddable badge. The service also includes the Lobby, a public feed of verification events and member posts.

The headline metric is net sales over the trailing 30 days — sales minus discounts and refunds — always labeled with how and when it was sourced. We never present tax-and-shipping-inflated totals as the headline figure.

§3Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must provide an email address you control; login is by one-time code sent to that address, so keeping access to it is your responsibility, as is all activity under your account.

At signup every account is assigned a pseudonym (e.g. “DreamsSeller2902”). It is generated by us, unique, and immutable — it cannot be chosen, traded, or changed.

§4Connecting a Shopify store

You may only connect a store you own or are authorized to represent. The authorization you grant us is read-only: we request only the access needed to read order totals, and we cannot create, modify, or delete anything in your store. Access credentials are encrypted at rest.

You can disconnect a store at any time. Disconnecting does not erase history silently: figures from a disconnected or expired store are stale-stamped(“last verified on <date>”) and drop off the live leaderboard rather than being displayed as current.

Test, development, and partner stores are excluded from public figures and the leaderboard.

§5Verified figures and integrity

Every public figure on the service is computed from data reported by Shopify for the connected store. Figures are never typed in, adjusted, or edited by anyone — not by you, not by us. We refresh them on a recurring schedule and label each figure with its source and timestamp.

You must not attempt to manipulate a verified figure, including:

  • placing fake, self-funded, or circular orders to inflate sales;
  • timing refunds or cancellations to game the trailing-30-day window;
  • connecting a store, capturing a peak figure, and disconnecting to freeze it (stale-stamping defeats this, and attempting it is a violation);
  • misrepresenting ownership or control of a store.

To protect accuracy we may recompute, correct, stale-stamp, flag, or remove any figure, profile, or account — at our sole discretion and without notice. Manipulation is grounds for immediate termination.

§6Visibility and identity

Stores are private by default. Making your figures public is an explicit choice you make in the dashboard.

Your public identity starts as your pseudonym. You may optionally reveal your identity by connecting an X account — the verified handle then replaces the pseudonym on public surfaces. The reveal is one-way: it cannot be undone, the “formerly <pseudonym>” note is retained, and a public announcement is emitted when it happens. The only way to remove a revealed identity is to delete your account.

Only an identity verified through X’s own sign-in may appear as verified on a profile or badge. A typed display name is never presented as verified.

§7The badge embed

If your store is public, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to embed your badge on websites you own or control. You must not alter the badge, its figures, or its link, and you must not use it to imply any endorsement beyond what it states. We may revoke the license if the badge is misused or these terms are violated; a revoked or stale badge may display its stale-stamped state.

§8The Lobby and your content

Posts you publish in the Lobby are public and remain yours. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display and distribute them within the service. You are responsible for what you post: no unlawful, abusive, or deceptive content, no impersonation, and no solicitation of fake verification or figure manipulation. We may moderate, remove, or decline to publish content at our discretion.

§9Acceptable use

You must not:

  • interfere with or disrupt the service, or probe or circumvent its security or rate limits;
  • access the service by automated means at a volume that degrades it, or in violation of our robots directives;
  • present figures from the service in a way that misrepresents what they are (their metric, period, or verification state);
  • use the service to build a competing dataset of verified figures.

§10Third-party services

Shopify, X, and Google are independent services with their own terms, which govern your use of them. TrustMyRevenue is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify, X, or Google. “Verified from Shopify Admin data” describes the data source of a figure, not a partnership: the verifying is ours, and Shopify neither performs nor endorses it.

§11Intellectual property

The service — its software, design, name, and marks — belongs to us or our licensors. These terms grant you no rights in it except the limited licenses stated here. The revenue figures derived from your store are factual data; we claim no ownership over your store’s underlying business data.

§12Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. A verified figure reflects what Shopify’s systems reported for that store at the stated time; we verify sourcing, not the underlying business. Nothing on the service is financial, investment, accounting, or legal advice, and figures should not be the sole basis for any transaction. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

§13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

§14Termination

You may delete your account at any time; deletion removes your profile, figures, store connections, and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — integrity violations (§5) in particular result in immediate removal. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §5, §11–§13, and §16) survive it.

§15Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice — by email or a notice on the service — before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

§16Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
